Day 5… Miss Dive Pirate

Due to some CRAZY wind, again this morning we stayed on land, watching the waves and waiting for this disturbance to pass by… so most of the crew jumped on wheels and toured the island.

Deep Dive Challenge

Winner….Wicked Sister!

Early lunch, then reported to the boats for a two-dive afternoon… Weather permitting, that boat will be taken to Little Cayman for the Bloody Wall dive. Our top fundraiser was P-Dawg (aka Chuck Jones) who donated his winnings (an ultimate spa package) back to some pirates he chose to dote on…

This just in to the Captain’s blog…

Bloody pirates sent this to me… stolen flags shot underneath the sea… Flaunting their newly acquired booty.   (Note the pirate with the booty on his booty).   The aforementioned pirates upon viewing said booty, did just what the booty directed – and facilitated the surrender of the booty. Bottomline… it’s on!

Back to the boat…

I sailed with Wicked Sister, action-packed afternoon!  Chris Hull (aka cupcake) and his dad John had two great dives… with boat master Chuck Jones celebrating their first dives as certified open water divers by making a cake on their heads! (yes milk, flour and eggs on the poop deck.) Chris thank you for your service in the military, it was fun seeing you in action today!

Aaron Sifuentes is the man with the go-pro-on-a-stick! Jeff Dunham, you may have a new routine here, this guy loves to comb every bit of the reef taking pictures of it all!  Had fun playing trivia with Aaron and his girlfriend Casey last night, and found out we all didn’t know much about Pirate trivia, but a BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO T-DAWG AND THE SEABISCUITS who donated their winnings to further education for our adaptive divers.

Back to the boat, Max Faistenhammer was the first in, and one if the last out… growing up in a boating community of Gross Ile, the man knows his way around a boat, and loves to dive.  A former police officer, we thank you for your service and hope you are having  a great time!

Jared, I have decided you are a gentle giant, eager to dive, and happy to be here, and you’ve got a great boat. You are such a success story, with a salvaged leg and a can-do spirit, thank you for your service and for sharing your diving stories with us!

And Now… the New Miss Dive Pirate is….Johnny Fisher!

Crowned by last year’s reigning miss dive pirate, Christina Davidson graciously bestowed the tiara on Jonny Fisher, whose muumuu, and light sticks really said it all. The queen bee of it all, Barbara donned her tiara and glass slippers to set the stage for our flotillas and contestants.

Tonight’s event is a blog in itself, I will leave you with those were the best floatilla’s I have seen, everyone was a great sport, and I’m still a little disturbed seeing Dave Allen in Buckee boxers! Bloody pirate, his hoochies were created out of stolen flags! A gracious runner up, he was.

It was such a party, that’s why the blog is a bit delayed today… but the boats are out, the pirates are working on their scavenger hunt, and its another beautiful day at the Brac Reef Beach Resort!
